Why Choose Koop Electrical

Rated 5 stars by our Google reviewers. A typical residential panel upgrade with Koop Electrical costs $2,800 to $4,500 depending on amperage and panel location.

Load Management Systems

Not every EV charger or hot tub needs a service upgrade. A load management system lets your existing panel safely support a new large load by pausing it automatically when the house is near capacity. Koop Electrical installs load management systems for $1,500 to $2,000, compared with $7,000 to $10,000 for a full service upgrade.

EV Charger Installation

We install Level 2 EV chargers for Calgary homes and businesses, typically for around $1,500. Most home installs take about half a day, and we advise up front whether your panel needs a load management system or an upgrade first.

Detached Garage Wiring

We feed a sub-panel of 30A to 100A from your house and build out the garage the way you want it: LED lighting, direct ethernet, smart switching, electric heat, welder and EV plugs, and dedicated 20A workbench circuits that don't nuisance-trip.

Pot-Light Retrofits

Recessed LED pot lights installed into existing living-room, kitchen and basement ceilings, with minimal disruption, to make the space feel modern and new.

Secondary Suite Legalization

We bring suite electrical up to current code, including interconnected smoke and CO detectors, separate circuits, AFCI protection for receptacles and furnace interlocks with relays, and we handle the City of Calgary permit and inspections.
